SONJA & JOSH

Well if you book Sky High in Mt Dandenong you would be preying for the perfect sunset! Winter could be the best choice, often amazing skys, that's for sure. Sonja and Josh had an intimate little ceremony with close family and friends at St Clairs church in Mt. Dandenong, then onto Sky High for photos before the reception. While the pre-dinner drinks were served, the golden sun setting made a beautiful glow through the dining room, one of the best venues for atmosphere!
BEV & SCOTT

A wonderful little treasure of a spot in Wandin.. A restaurant/winery with character and real atmosphere..
Wild Cattle Creek - Rustic Charm. A perfect March day, wonderful, easy going family and friends.. Bev wears a sleek, sexy satin gown with the rest of the bridal party in black.. always a great look!
CANDICE & ANGELO

The big catholic church wedding. The girls booked the Crown Metropol to start the day.. One of the most beautiful churches in Melbourne, St. Ignatius, Richmond, then we stopped at the Fitzroy Gardens at the bottom end of Clarendon St to have a well earned breather and champers! . A running race to warm up the girls! Why not.. Then a few stops through the city and onto Zinc in Fed Square where their reception got under way.
CHRISTINE & JASON

Hand made bouquets from 'paper and beads'.. Wedding rings actually engraved with their fingerprints! Really different, very colourful!! Jason's family from the U.S. watch the Registry office ceremony via Skype. They get ready together, photos before the ceremony.. Fabulous hotel venue for preparations and reception..atThe Blackman, St Kilda Road. Christine Changes to a party dress for the reception. Funky, fun and very different!
KATE & TOM

A personal favorite of mine, Potters in Warrandyte was also Kate & Tom's choice. Another great place to do it all, get ready, get married, party and stay over! From accommodation to chapel, reception and amazing options for photos, Potters has it all. I loved the deep blue purple chosen by Kate & Tom for their wedding, works so incredibly well with the greens of the gardens.
AMANDA & TOM

A wonderful little church wedding in Lilydale at St Patricks.. Amanda is a primary school teacher and her 'all girls school' class of grade two's came to the church. With a team of kids stuck like glue fighting over holding the veil, blowing in the wind, so gorgeous! Photos and reception at a picturesque Yerring Meadows. A windy Melbourne Spring day!
LAURA & LEIGH

Possibly the happiest bride ever, couldn't wipe the smile off Laura's face, she just beamed all day. Loved Loved Loved her dress which was called ‘Ms Stunning’ by Maggie Sottero from Rafael Ciuca in Armadale. A fabulous October sunny day and a great spot at, Ballara in Eltham. Gorgeous girls, and a very 'familiar group', I photographed Laura's Maid of Honour, Brittany's wedding earlier in the year.
JACKIE & PAUL

A first for me, the ceremony was held at the Carmelite Monastary in Kew, not generally available, but the Bride's great Aunt is one of the Nuns there. Photography and reception at Tatra, Mt Dandenong. It was a Friday, so after leaving the Monastery to head up to the Dandenongs, traffic was full on and we almost ran out of time but 'Katrina' at Tatra came to the rescue and created some valuable time for the bridal party to have some space before the reception.
KATRINA & ROBIN

The Dandenongs has some of the best spots for weddings, Marybrooke in Sherbrook has fabulous accommodation and wedding reception facilities. A very big group in the bridal party, and a close group of family and friends. Kat and Rob also hired a an open style photobooth Photorazzi, with props and an assistant to keep their guests occupied while we did the bridal shoot, a great idea with a unique open style studio.
BREE & MIKE

A really down to earth country couple, love their horses and their dog. I photographed Bree's maid of honour, Laura's wedding a couple of years before that, a very familiar feel.. Ceremony, reception and some photos at Stones Of The Yarra Valley, and use of their private property included visiting the horses and walking with the dog. Bree and Mike didn't mind meeting up before the ceremony, which is when we did some photos at their property.
SOPHIE & CRAIG

A funky very Melbourne wedding at the Docklands, beginning at the Grand Hyatt, Sophie and the girls stayed the night before and got ready there. Ceremony at Sketch, on Pier 14 down at the Docklands and just next door, the reception was held at Sumac.. Photography all around the Docklands area on foot, ending at sunset on the pier! How well planned was that? Another familiar group with Sophie MO, Michelle a previous bride.
ELISA & STEVE

A catholic church wedding at Newmans Chapel of Melbourne University. Steve's dog 'Buddy' was waiting to greet me at the car with the ball in his mouth! OMG those eyes. Big bridal party, all family, brothers, sisters, cousins, lots of love, really close bunch. Elisa's family have serious flair with colours, decor was rich and vibrant. It rained pretty much all day, perfect break when Elisa arrived at the church though! Photos at nearby Melbourne Uni. Arrived at Leondra By The Yarra for the reception early due to the rain and made the most of things.. a piggy back race!
PAIGE & DAMIEN

Winter is sometimes the best time of year for weddings, often more chance of a clear day than the more popular months. A crisp cold and sunny day gorgeous winter day, up in the Dandenong Ranges. Ceremony, reception and photos all at Nathania Springs in Monbulk, a cute little spot with a gorgeous chapel, gardens and gazebo. Paige and the girls began the day at The Loft In The Mill at Olinda where they'd stayed the night before. A bunch of close friends and a really easy going fun group.
EMILY & SIMON

A wonderful new age church and a lot of love all around! Not the typical church wedding, Emily and Simon had afternoon tea for all the wedding guests at the church after the ceremony.. Ormond Anglican Church on North Road. We then head off for photos in Brighton using some gardens and the beach, and we were blessed with sunset lighting at the end before we left for the reception at Milano's in Brighton.
JOANNE & CHRIS

Huge party group.. wild and animated crowd at the reception, no wall flowers here! I'm pretty sure these guys would have been hard to dispurse at the end of the night!!
A winter wedding in the Dandenongs in August, cold but nice, rained a little, but the brollies got a workout and all was fine.. Very cute spot.. Poet's Lane in Sherbrook, with preparations, ceremony reception and even accommodation for guests, it meant they could really make the most of the time. A BIG PARTY WEDDING!
NAOMI AND PAUL

A really informal cocktail style gathering in an amazing hilltop location in the Yarra Valley. Naomi surprised her girlfriends and asked them to be bride's maids on the day! Accessibility was great, to be able to move around and capture as much interaction as possible. So often, it isn't the case, for example a big church wedding, it's difficult to get amongst the guests, then the bridal party are shooting off somewhere away from everyone. I love this type of wedding in one place, with a relaxed adjenda and access to everyone.
JESS & BRAD

St Kilda Beach in Summer with a sea of coloured paper umbrellas. Pretty sure it might be sunny and hot, Jess cleaverly came up with these paper parasols in vibrant colours. Jess got ready across the road at the Novatel and I met up with the guys at the bar at Republica at the Sea Baths where the reception was arranged. Ceremony took place on the rooftop above the Sea Baths. For photos, we wandered off down the St Kilda Pier right to the end beyond the cafe, where there is actually a very nice protected area and a little sandy cove.
